Get the experience you need for PA / Medical / Nursing school! Our dermatology office is seeking a recent college graduate aspiring to the health professions to join our team as a medical assistant. No prior experience is required, and this job will provide all of the direct patient care experience you will need to apply to graduate school. Prior team-members for this position have been accepted to physician assistant masters programs. Commonwealth Dermatology is a full-service dermatology practice with a focus on Mohs surgery, skin cancer diagnosis and treatment. We pride ourselves on providing outstanding patient care and customer service. Our medical assistants work hand-in-hand with the doctor and physician assistant(s) to keep the office running smoothly.

Responsibilities include:

Rooming patients and taking clinical histories Acting as a scribe for the provider Assisting in surgical procedures such as Mohs micrographic surgery Providing patient education Maintaining various biopsy logs and medical inventories. The successful candidate will have the following skills: Bachelor's degree in health sciences, pre-med Enthusiastic, can-do attitude Excellent verbal and written communication skills Comfort with iPads and computers (we are a paperless office) An absolute commitment to providing excellent patient care and a desire to make patients happy!
