Job Description

Dr. Molly B. Trostle, DO Internal Medicine, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated, organized, dependable candidate for a full-time Medical Assistant/ Medical Receptionist to join our growing practice in Ebensburg, PA. Applicant must have at least 1 year of prior medical assistant experience preferably in an Internal Medicine or Primary Care practice.
Duties:
Obtain vitals, height, weight and medical history Entering and updating patient clinical records in the EMR Scan documents into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Obtain authorizations for testing Coordinate referral appointments and diagnostic testing Collect laboratory specimens Assist with minor office procedures Prescription submissions to the pharmacy Answering phones Schedule appointments for new and established patient visits Maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines Greet patients and ensure efficient patient flow throughout the check-in process Have general knowledge of medical insurance plans and insurance websites Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalent Medical Assistant diploma or degree program Strong computer skills experience with Electronic Medical Records and patients scheduling programs
