Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant/Receptionist, where you will be the friendly face and efficient coordinator at the front desk and within clinical settings. This vital role combines patient-centered medical assisting with administrative support to ensure smooth clinic operations. You will engage directly with patients, providing exceptional service while supporting medical staff with vital clinical tasks. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment that promotes excellent patient care and efficient office management. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in and check-out processes using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Obtain and record patient vital signs, medical histories, and current medications, ensuring accurate documentation for each visit. Assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support when necessary. Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and follow-up communications to optimize clinic efficiency. Maintain organized medical records, ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, and update electronic health records accurately. Perform routine clinical tasks including taking patient histories, measuring vital signs, and preparing patients for examinations or procedures. Qualifications Proven experience in a medical office setting with knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology. Hands-on experience in urgent care, or outpatient clinics is highly desirable. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is preffered. Strong skills in Electronic Health Records (EHR/EHR systems), EMR management, and medical documentation practices. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations. Familiarity phlebotomy techniques, and medical assisting procedures.
