Role Overview:

This position is for a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in an outpatient setting, providing patient care, administrative support, and clinical duties to ensure efficient clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Obtain and document patient information, prepare examination rooms, assist with patient preparations, perform direct patient care such as EKGs and wound dressings, administer medications, collect laboratory specimens, perform phlebotomy, support clerical tasks including scheduling and documentation, facilitate patient communication, reinforce patient education, inventory supplies, sterilize instruments, and maintain infection control protocols.

Qualifications & Skills:

Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program preferred; certification as CMA or RMA required from recognized agencies. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow protocols are essential.

Key Duties:

Support provider during minor procedures, ensure patient safety and privacy, manage laboratory and diagnostic tasks, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
