Role:

Outpatient Certified Medical Assistant providing direct patient care and clinical support in ambulatory settings.

Responsibilities:

Prepare patients, collect and review information, perform technical duties such as EKGs, wound dressings, phlebotomy, and medication administration (excluding IV). Support provider during examinations and procedures, document accurately in electronic medical records, and assist with patient scheduling, referrals, and follow-ups. Maintain a safe, sterile environment through proper sterilization and infection control. Support administrative tasks including billing, patient education, and inventory management. Facilitate communication between patients and providers, ensuring timely care and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications & Skills:

High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) from recognized associations is mandatory. Preferred candidates have graduated from accredited training programs. Strong clinical skills, knowledge of infection control protocols, and proficiency with electronic medical records are essential. Must demonstrate competency in technical procedures and excellent communication skills.

Key Duties:

Room patient setup, perform clinical tests, assist with procedures, document medical information, support clinic operations, and participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives. May assist with inventory and support new staff orientation.
