Job Description

Medical Assistant Full Time Monday-Friday 8am-430pm Waynesburg, PA The Medical Assistant will assist the Physician, Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Staff with various aspects of patient care (including clinical, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks) to ensure our participants satisfaction. In addition to core Medical Assistant responsibilities, this position serves as a key person for the provider regarding day-today workflow issues and office procedures.
Required Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Successful completion of a Medical Assistant program or a national medical assistant certification from a national certifying organization (AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA) are preferred.
Required Experience :
Two years of experience with direct clinical responsibilities as a medical assistant preferred. Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
Required Skills:
Good verbal and written skills Proficient in Phlebotomy Proficient in Medication Administration Proficient in taking vital signs Proficient with Medical Terminology Basic computer skills Experience with Medical Record Documentation Experience Rooming patients and serving as a liaison for the Provider Experience performing the clinical duties required as a Medical Assistant Desired or Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and/or
Abilities:
Able to deliver services in a compassionate, responsive, and courteous manner. Dependable, resourceful and flexible. Able to work effectively with staff, participants, providers and referral sources.
