Job Title:
Medical Administrative Assistant Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Medical Administrative Assistant to join our medical practice. This position will provide administrative support to the Practice Manager while ensuring efficient daily office operations and excellent patient service. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Responsibilities Assist the Practice Manager with daily clerical and administrative duties. Answer and direct incoming telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner. Schedule patient appointments and assist with appointment confirmations. Process and coordinate Primary Care Provider (PCP) referrals. Receive, distribute, and respond to office correspondence. Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and office staff. Assist with additional administrative projects and office tasks as assigned. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and PCP referral processes preferred. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus. Strong telephone etiquette and customer service skills. Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Pay:
From $18.00 per hour
