Job Description

Looking to hire a Medical Assistant immediately at the Vein & Vascular Institute of the South's Germantown office. We are seeking a savvy, strong-minded individual with excellent people skills. Must be dependable, team-oriented, and able to adjust in a fast-paced environment. Applicants MUST have a valid driver's license and access to an operating vehicle. MUST be willing to travel throughout the week to our various locations including:
TN:
Germantown, Memphis, Millington, and Jackson.
MS:
Southaven, Senatobia (as needed), and Oxford (as needed).
AR:
West Memphis and Forrest City (as needed)
Key Job Responsibilities:
Prepare exam rooms and assist providers with patient examinations. Take and record vital signs, patient histories, and other health information. Prepare patient for physical exams including assisting in removing bandages, stitches, etc. Ensure medical supplies are properly stocked. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EMR (Allscripts). Assist in preparing charts by pulling patient test results and reviewing pre-check-in information. Assist with patient communication by responding to patient messages as needed. Support front-desk and office staff during high-volume periods or absences as needed. All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with patients, patient families and physicians in a tactful and professional manner. Ability to organize multiple tasks and projects to maintain workflow as a medical assistant. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Ability to perform basic computer skills. Ability to act quickly in emergency situations. Resident Rights Responsibilities Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information to assure resident rights are protected, including the right of refusal. Requirements Certification for Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant preferred High School graduate or equivalent. Must have at least one (1) year of experience working in a medical facility as a Medical Assistant or similar health care experience. MUST have a valid driver's license and access to an operating vehicle
