Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care in a medical setting. Essential Duties Greet and prepare patients for the healthcare provider in a welcoming and professional manner. Accurately obtain and record vital signs and other appropriate information. Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections. Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers. Maintain an expert level of knowledge of all services and treatments. Prepare, clean, and sterilize instruments and maintain equipment. Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations. Keep exam rooms clean, orderly and stocked. Perform clinical procedures and diagnostic testing. Draw blood and prepare specimen for testing. Document procedures and patient interactions. Provide patient education on medications and procedures. Screen, communicate and respond to patient needs in a pleasant and timely manner, within the scope of authority. Manage patient flow and perform other clerical duties as needed. Notify the practice manager when medical supplies need to be ordered. Job duties of this position may require access to protected patient information. The team member will be accountable for appropriate use of the record and compliance with all confidentiality and security policy and procedures related to use, access and disclosure. Qualifications Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology Experience in urgent care, PICU, or Level II Trauma Center—preferred but not required Limited scope X-Ray—preferred but not required Ability to administer medications following proper protocols Familiarity with electronic health record systems Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinic environment Comfort working with patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics Join our team and contribute to providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare setting.
