Physician Assistant - Podiatry & Wound Care Overview Cutting Edge Foot and Ankle (CEFA) is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our podiatry and wound care team in Middle Tennessee. This is a fully in-person role. The PA will provide care across multiple CEFA clinic locations — anticipated to include Skyline, Pleasant View, and White House — and will also perform hospital rounding and treat patients at a wound care center. You will work closely with our podiatrists to deliver high-quality foot and ankle care in every setting our patients need us.

Key Responsibilities Clinic:

Provide patient care across multiple CEFA clinic locations on a rotating schedule based on practice needs. Conduct patient assessments in clinic, including medical history, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations in collaboration with supervising podiatrists. Perform routine podiatric procedures including diabetic foot exams, nail care, callus removal, wound debridement, and other minor in-office procedures.

Hospital & Wound Care Center:

See and manage hospitalized patients through in-hospital rounding, coordinating care with hospital staff and other providers. Evaluate and treat patients at a wound care center, with a focus on chronic and diabetic wound management.

Across All Settings:

Assist podiatrists in the diagnosis and treatment of foot and ankle conditions, including diabetic foot care, ulcers, infections, fractures, and other podiatric ailments. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, coordinating with clinic, hospital, and wound center staff as needed. Educate patients and caregivers on proper foot care techniques, wound prevention, and foot health maintenance. Document patient interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory and company standards (eClinicalWorks EHR). Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as appropriate, under the supervision of a podiatrist. Maintain compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations, as well as company policies and protocols. Stay current with advancements in podiatric care and wound management through continuing education. Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current Physician Assistant (PA-C) certification. Active Tennessee state licensure as a PA in good standing. Experience in podiatry, wound care, geriatrics, or related fields preferred but not required. Willingness and ability to work on-site across multiple CEFA clinic locations, as well as hospital and wound care center settings. Strong clinical skills, with an emphasis on wound care and podiatric procedures. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with clinic and hospital staff. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
