Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties Assist with patient intake by collecting vital signs, medical histories, and updating electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding of the process. Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, medical (POC) point of care testing, and basic life support (BLS) as needed. Support physicians with dermatology procedures, hospital medicine rounds, or urgent care treatments by preparing supplies and assisting during procedures. Manage medical documentation including ICD coding, medical records management, and detailed note-taking to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Conduct routine clinical assessments based on physiology and anatomy knowledge to support accurate diagnosis and treatment plans. Maintain a clean, organized medical office environment while adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards. Support administrative functions such as appointment scheduling, patient follow-up calls, and managing electronic health records (EMR/EHR). Experience Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in outpatient clinics or hospital settings with exposure to primary acute care environments. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient record management. Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology, ICD coding, and anatomy to support accurate clinical documentation and patient care. Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy, medical procedure support, medication administration, vital signs measurement, and basic life support (BLS). Experience working within diverse healthcare settings environments is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings like emergency departments or inpatient units while maintaining attention to detail.
