Job Description

Belton Health Spa is seeking a dependable, professional, and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our growing medical and aesthetic practice. The Medical Assistant will work closely with our medical providers to support the delivery of medical, wellness, and aesthetic services. This position requires someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment and who is willing to assist with both clinical and front desk responsibilities as needed. The ideal candidate is organized, friendly, very detail-oriented, motivated to learn, and able to provide an exceptional care experience for all of our patients. Clinical Responsibilities Greet, room, and prepare patients for medical and aesthetic appointments. Obtain and accurately document vital signs, weight, medical history, medications, allergies, and other appropriate clinical information, prior to seeing their provider. Occasionally assist medical providers with treatments and procedures. Prepare treatment rooms, medications, supplies, and equipment for scheduled services.. Assist with IV hydration and wellness services according to training, provider delegation, and clinic protocols. Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and laboratory preparation when appropriately trained and authorized. Must be certified Administer or assist with injections and medications when permitted by applicable law, training, provider delegation, and clinic policy. Provide provider-approved pre-treatment and post-treatment instructions. Assist Clinic Director with administrative and clinic responsibilities. Accurately document patient care, procedures, medications, and communications in the electronic medical record. Assist with prescription refill requests, pharmacy communications, laboratory follow-up, and patient messages under provider direction. Clean, disinfect, prepare, and restock treatment rooms between patients. Maintain appropriate infection-control and universal-precaution standards. Monitor medication and supply inventory, including expiration dates, and communicate ordering needs to Clinic Director. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements at all times. Front Desk & Administrative Responsibilities The Medical Assistant will also be expected to assist with front desk responsibilities as needed to support the daily operation of Belton Health Spa.
Responsibilities may include:
Greeting and checking patients in and out. Answering incoming telephone calls and appropriately routing patient questions and messages. Scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming appointments. Collecting payments and assisting with the checkout process. Responding professionally to patient inquiries in person, by telephone, or through approved clinic communication systems. Assisting with patient forms, consents, and intake paperwork. Maintaining an organized and professional reception area. Assisting with scanning, uploading, and organizing patient documents. Supporting patient scheduling and clinic flow throughout the day. Assisting with product and retail transactions when needed. Helping communicate current services, memberships, promotions, and treatment options to patients. Providing front desk coverage during staff lunches, absences, busy periods, or whenever additional support is needed. All team members at Belton Health Spa are expected to work collaboratively and assist in areas outside of their primary responsibilities when necessary to provide excellent patient care and maintain efficient clinic operations. Specific duties will depend upon the employee's training, competency, applicable scope limitations, and provider delegation. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical Assistant education, training and certification required. Previous experience in a medical office, medical spa, dermatology, plastic surgery, wellness clinic, or aesthetic practice preferred. Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred. Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification upon hire. Experience with electronic medical records preferred. Knowledge of medical weight management, HRT/TRT, injections, IV therapy, aesthetics, or wellness medicine is a plus. Previous front desk, scheduling, or customer-service experience is preferred. Must be comfortable learning both clinical and administrative responsibilities. Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
