Job Overview As a Medical Assistant, you will be a part of the Jose L. Villalobos, JR., M.D., P.A. with our patients to develop lifelong well-being and health. The Medical Assistant role makes a difference in the patient care we offer and assists physicians and other clinicians by providing a unique blend of skills and knowledge to carry out prescribed medical treatment. Medical Assistant s are multi-skilled health professionals responsible for performing administrative and clinical tasks in our primary care facilities while delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining positive patient engagement. Duties Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare and administer medications Obtain and record patient histories, vital signs, and other relevant information. Perform basic lab tests and EKGs Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment. Support geriatric patients by providing compassionate care tailored to their specific needs. Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow-ups, and other administrative tasks as needed. Collaborate with the medical team to ensure seamless patient care across various departments.

Experience Candidates should possess:

Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and patient service skills Experience in an outpatient setting is preferred. Familiarity with scribing skills preferred Strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent patient service. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
