As a medical assistant, you will support various departments by delivering high-quality clinical and administrative support, ensuring smooth operations and excellent patient experiences. Your energetic and adaptable approach will help us maintain our commitment to compassionate, efficient healthcare delivery. Responsibilities Assist with patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature. Support physicians and healthcare providers with clinical tasks like medication administration, wound care, and basic life support during emergencies. Prepare examination rooms by sterilizing equipment and ensuring supplies are stocked for efficient patient flow. Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems accurately to document patient information, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and treatment details. Perform diagnostic procedures such as X-ray assistance or basic anatomy and physiology assessments when needed. Manage patient service activities including scheduling appointments, answering questions about treatments, and providing clear instructions for follow-up care. Requirements Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification required; prior experience in medicine highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding practices. Proficiency in operating EHR systems and familiarity with medical procedures. Ability to perform clinical tasks including vital signs collection, medication administration, X-ray assistance, and basic emergency response skills such as Basic Life Support (BLS). Strong patient service skills with a focus on compassionate communication and attention to detail during intake and outpatient visits. Flexibility to float across multiple departments while maintaining high standards of care. Excellent organizational skills to manage documentation accurately in fast-paced settings.
