Our client, a federal agency in Ft. Worth, Texas, has an
IMMEDIATE NEED
for qualified
MEDICAL ASSISTANTS
to serve their community. Medical Assistants will primarily assist in medication administration, stocking of medication and supplies, glucose monitoring, electronic and paper medical record documentation, assisting with patient education, and general clerical duties at the Federal Medical Center.
Key Duties of Medical Assistants:
Make appointments. Take and record patient history and vital signs. Assist in medication administration, stocking of medication and supplies, glucose monitoring, electronic medical record documentation, patient education, and general clerical duties. Perform venipuncture and lab draws. Use medication administration record to document all medications medication administered. Assist in maintaining accurate medication administration record and proper documentation in electronic medical record. Report and record adverse medication reactions. Seeks immediate medical assistance for patients with severe adverse medication reactions. Assist pharmacist or other appropriate staff member in a variety of pharmacy related activities, included but not limited to: storage and inventory of pharmacy supplies. Completes medication inventory. Maintain accurate inventory of all needles, syringes, and controlled substances.
Qualifications of Medical Assistants:
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Valid certification in state of Texas. Minimum of 1-year clinical experience. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification. Must be able to pass a background check and have a favorable credit report. Work Details for
