Medical Assistant - Part-Time (Wednesdays Only) Institute of Precision Pain Medicine - 5.0 McAllen, TX Job Details Part-time 6 hours ago Qualifications Outpatient experience IV insertion Organizational skills Perioperative care Stocking Full Job Description Part-Time Medical Assistant - Pain Management (Wednesdays Only) The Institute of Precision Pain Medicine | Pain Management Clinic The Institute of Precision Pain Medicine is seeking a dependable and motivated Medical Assistant to join our team. This is a part-time position working one 12-hour shift every Wednesday , assisting with outpatient pain management procedures, patient consultations, and clinical operations. Training will be provided for all required responsibilities. Schedule Wednesdays only One 12-hour shift per week Duties & Responsibilities Greet, intake, and room patients Obtain and document patient medical history, current medications, allergies, and vital signs Room and prepare patients for consultations and follow-up visits as needed Verify required patient information and documentation prior to procedures Prepare patients for outpatient pain management procedures Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care Assist with IV placement and patient preparation as needed Assist with positioning patients for procedures Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and necessary supplies Ensure procedure rooms are properly stocked and ready before each case Support providers and clinical staff with patient care and procedures as needed Monitor patients during recovery and promptly communicate patient needs or changes in condition to the provider Assist with patient discharge and post-procedure instructions Assist with patient check-in, check-out, and payment collection as needed Clean and prepare patient-care and procedure areas between cases Follow established infection-control and safety protocols Maintain and organize procedure and medical supplies Help maintain efficient patient flow throughout the clinic Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned Qualifications Medical Assistant experience preferred Dependable and punctual Professional and compassionate when interacting with patients Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment Willingness to learn and be trained on clinic-specific processes Must be available to work a consistent 12-hour shift every Wednesday Training will be provided for all required responsibilities.
