JOB SUMMARY
: Perform routine clinical and administrative duties under the direct supervision of the physician for a growing Family Practice in New Braunfels, Texas. A Medical Assistant, under direction of a physician, is to assist in the treatment of patients. Room patients, measure vital signs, and record required information into the medical record. Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments and equipment as needed. Administer injections,immunizations, allergy treatment, patient calls, referrals, authorizations, and other tasks assigned.Overall Employment Requirements:
Maintain good, positive attitude and professional behavior to patients and other office personnel at all times Adherence to cell phone/internet policy Adherence to a high degree of ethics and integrity in handling any relationship or responsibility on behalf of the practice Back office job duties Call/fax prescriptions Call patients with medical results Proper charting including updating all required chart fields during patient appointment. Ensure office is ready for the start of day Before end of day, all out-going referrals/authorization and appointments completed for patients seen that day Scan Medical Correspondence daily Performs other duties as requested or assigned Be a team player Salary depends on experience Qualifications Certification as a Medical Assistant Proficient in medical administrative support and patient care Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology Experience with EHR systems and vital sign monitoring Basic life support certificationJob Type:
