Job Description

An excellent opportunity exists for a Medical Assistant to join a busy multi-site Pain Management practice located in the New Braunfels Area.. We are seeking an individual with the following skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including an enthusiastic attitude and empathy for our patients. A level headed individual with the ability to resolve patient concerns. Strong organizational and attention to detail skills. Team player who can work well within a healthcare multi-disciplinary team. Candidate must be flexible, self-motivated and willing to work in other areas of the operation when required. Assists physician to ensure clinic runs smoothly and on time. Coordinates scheduling of patients tests, ensuring follow-up appointments with physician are scheduled. Documents patient phone calls, prescription refill messages, and obtains physician signature. Ensures patient phone calls are retrieved and returned in a timely manner. DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Urine drug screen testing. Medication Refills. Check in and Check out patients. Collecting and recording vital signs. Complete intake forms for existing and new patients. Triage Patients. Room patients for Provider. Ensure all patients are communicated with when Provider is delayed. Relay patient messages to the Provider. Assist in the patient experience utilizing AIDET principles. Assist in keeping the office a clean and pleasant environment. This will include straightening up the working area periodically throughout the day. Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions. Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information. Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or equivalent. Nationally Registered Medical Assistant Certification required
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience C-arm experience a plus Bilingual a plus
SKILLS:
Must have clinical knowledge. Must be familiar with automated practice management systems and with health insurance requirements as it relates to medical reimbursement (i.e., deductibles, co-pays, etc.)..

Full-time Pay:
$17.00 - $21.00 per hour
