This position will support both front-office and back-office clinical responsibilities and will work between two office locations.
Position:
Medical Assistant Starting Pay:
$16-$18/hourGrowth Potential:
Up to $22/hour based on experience, performance, and expanded responsibilitiesSchedule:
Full-time Locations:
Two DFW-area office locations Plano and Prosper Responsibilities Back Office / Clinical- Room and prepare patients for visits
- Obtain vital signs and medication histories
- Assist with injections and other clinical procedures
- Perform and document point-of-care testing as appropriate
- Assist with blood draws and specimen handling, if trained
- Prepare patients for physician examinations and procedures
- Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Coordinate lab orders and follow-up testing
- Maintain clean, organized, and stocked exam rooms Front Office
- Greet and check in/out patients
- Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up visits
- Verify insurance and patient information
- Answer phones and respond to patient questions
- Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and medical records
- Collect copays and other patient payments
- Communicate professionally with patients, pharmacies, laboratories, and other medical offices
