Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support within our medical facility. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience in various specialties such as hospital medicine, dermatology, or medical-surgical settings is highly valued. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies. Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with X-ray procedures. Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to ensure efficient operations. Provide education to patients regarding treatment plans and medication administration. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within a Level I Trauma Center setting to deliver comprehensive care. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Experience Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and administrative support functions is essential. Familiarity with X-ray procedures and medication administration techniques is advantageous. Experience working in high-pressure environments such as hospitals or trauma centers is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.
