Sunnyvale, TX Specialty:
Orthopedic Surgery We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Assistant with a valid NCT certification to join our fast-paced orthopedic surgeon's office. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to start as soon as possible . Key Responsibilities Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms; prepare patients for exams or treatments Take necessary X-rays as ordered by the physician Prepare and maintain exam and treatment rooms with required instruments and supplies Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures Pre-certify outgoing referrals when appropriate Schedule diagnostic tests and off-site procedures as needed Prepare, sterilize, and maintain medical equipment Dispose of contaminated materials according to OSHA guidelines Obtain and handle injectables and assist with other procedures Enter patient demographic and lab order information accurately in the system Provide patient education when appropriate Replenish supplies and maintain stock inventory; notify the manager of shortages Ensure daily lab pickups and proper routing of lab results to physicians Clean and close down equipment and exam rooms at the end of the day Attend staff meetings and complete other duties as assigned Qualifications Valid NCT certification (required) Certified Medical Assistant preferred Previous experience in an orthopedic or surgical setting is a plus Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance Additional Information Full-time position Competitive compensation based on experience Supportive and collaborative work environment
