Job Description
Pulmonics Plus is a growing Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine practice committed to delivering exceptional patient care. We are seeking a motivated, adaptable, and patient-focused Cross-Trained Clinic Assistant to support multiple areas of our clinic. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys learning new skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about providing outstanding patient service. Position Summary As a Cross-Trained Clinic Assistant, you will be trained to support various administrative and operational functions across the clinic. Depending on operational needs, patient volume, and staffing requirements, you may be assigned to different responsibilities while working closely with providers and fellow team members to ensure smooth clinic operations. Key Responsibilities Patient Services Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner. Register new patients and update patient information. Check patients in and out efficiently. Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries. Scheduling Schedule appointments for both Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine services. Coordinate new patient visits, follow-up appointments, pulmonary testing, sleep studies, and other diagnostic procedures. Confirm appointments, process cancellations, and communicate appointment instructions. Administrative Support Verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations when assigned. Scan and maintain patient records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Process referrals and coordinate communication with referring providers. Assist with medical records and other administrative duties. Clinic Operations Support front office and other operational areas as needed. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with providers and team members to ensure efficient clinic workflow. Perform other clinic-related duties as assigned. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework preferred). Previous healthcare, medical office, or customer service experience preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Comfortable learning new systems and responsibilities.
