Assists with direct patient care procedures and related tasks, checks in patients, assists in obtaining patient histories, takes vital signs, prepares charts, and assists with medical examinations. Performs routine specialized procedures, such as venipuncture and sterile dressing changes under established protocols. Educates and advises patients on specified medical issues within established parameters, coordination of inpatient and outpatient care. Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods, sterilization of surgical tools, and administration of injectable medications; CLIA representative for lab design and structure for quality assurance per state guidelines. Maintains stocks of medicines and medical supplies as necessary, including off-campus purchasing for liquid nitrogen, juices, etc. Patient assistance program director to assist students in receiving medication, completion of paperwork, and coordination with participating pharmaceutical companies. Maintains compliance with required Title IX protocols, OSHA, and HIPAA requirements, and performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Graduation with a high school diploma or GED and one year of related experience; OR any combination of job-related experience and education totaling one year.
