English Associate's degree Full Job Description Part Time Position- Kar Medical Care (Primary Care/Internal Medicine) practice is looking for hardworking and experienced Medical Assistant/Receptionist.
- Input medical info into EHR
- Check in and Check-out the patients
- Answer the phones/make appointments
- Medication Prior authorizations
- Scanning and shredding documents
- organizing lab /test results
- collecting copay and deductibles
- verifying insurances
- Working on billing issues and talking to patients and insurance
- phone in prescriptions
- letters for patients
- other duties as assigned
- EMR knowledge (particularly Athena) is important
HIPAA, OSHA
is required. Bilingual- Spanish-speaking preferred for this position but it's not required.
