Medical Assistant Williamsburg, Virginia Pay From:
$20 per hour
MUST:
Experienced Medical Assistant 1 plus year of experience as a Medical Assistant Must be certified, registered as a Medical Assistant or willing to obtain Must have experience in OB/GYN Must have experience handling patient triaging Must have experience with EMR; knowledge of Athena is preferred Must have strong verbal and written communication skills Experience with Phlebotomy is preferred
DUTIES:
Medical Assistant will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Answer all incoming calls Triage need of patient Make appointments when appropriate Listen to what the patient says, but also have the ability to interpret such subtle indications as the tone of voice, hesitations or incomplete responses Primary function is to be a liaison between physician and patient via electronic messaging Prepares and communicates messages to the physicians regarding patient requests for test results, and follow up care Prepares messages directly to physician for patient requests of prescription refills Explains and provides information to patients regarding any preparation a patient may need prior to testing Determine the patients need Record a patient's medical history accurately Take patient vitals Collect samples for lab testing Review patient's history to include medications, labs, diagnostic reports Room patients Assist with injections Set-up and break down rooms •Quadrant, Inc. is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
