Job Overview Occupational Health Partners (OHP) is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and motivated Medical Assistant to join our growing Occupational Health team. This role is ideal for a healthcare professional who is passionate about patient care, workplace health, and delivering exceptional customer service. As an Occupational Health Medical Assistant, you will work directly under the direction of our providers to support both direct and indirect patient care activities. You will play a vital role in maintaining efficient workflows, ensuring high-quality healthcare services, and safeguarding the confidentiality of employee health information, accident reports, and workers' compensation records. Duties Prepare patients for examinations by collecting medical histories, vital signs, height, weight, and other pertinent information. Assist providers during examinations and procedures, including procedures requiring sterile technique. Explain treatment plans, medications, provider instructions, and follow-up care to patients. Communicate normal test results to patients as directed by providers. Prepare and maintain exam and treatment rooms to ensure a clean, safe, and professional environment. EKGs, Phlebotomy, Immunizations, Spirometry testing, Drug and Alcohol Screening procedures Schedule and coordinate appointments, testing, and procedures. Screen telephone calls and faxes and route appropriately. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Ensure strict confidentiality of patient and employee health information. Experience Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar healthcare support role is preferred. Medical Assistant Certification or certification eligibility preferred. Drug & Alcohol Screening Certification or certification eligibility preferred. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
