Medical Assistant Overview Cascade Integrative Medicine is a truly integrative medical practice on Seattle's Eastside. We have nine naturopathic doctors on staff who emphasize primary care as well as integrative and functional medicine in their individual practices. Our focus, first and foremost, is on patient care; we provide longer (and fewer) patient visits and offer the best, evidence-based treatment options available by leveraging both conventional and complementary medicine modalities. There is no top-down approach to patient care at our clinic. Instead, all providers and staff are regarded as equals and colleagues. Here, everyone has a voice, is always treated with respect, and is valued and sought after for their own unique insights. We are looking for a warm, savvy medical assistant who takes pride in providing exceptional patient care and who is a quick study and a strong problem-solver. We would like someone who is comfortable working in either the front or back office as needed. Medical Assistant Responsibilities Rooming patients, taking vitals, preparing patients for examination Preparing and administering medications as directed including childhood vaccines Performing POC laboratory tests Explaining treatment protocols to patients Authorizing prescription refills as directed Greeting patients, answering phones, managing medical records Medical Assistant Qualifications Medical assistant certification from accredited program High school diploma At least one year of experience in medical office; primary care experience is preferred Excellent communication skills Excellent with computers and software Benefits as a Medical Assistant Medical, dental and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off including federal holidays No evenings or weekends Corporate discounts on products sold
