We currently have one opening in our Renton clinic and one opening in our Puyallup clinic. At Northwest Foot & Ankle Center, we believe our employees are our greatest asset. Our physicians specialize in sports medicine, regenerative medicine, work-related injuries, foot and ankle surgery, and advanced treatment options. This is a great opportunity to build a rewarding career in specialty healthcare while gaining experience in both clinical and administrative duties. Responsibilities Welcome patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures Obtain and document patient histories, vital signs, and medication information Assist providers with examinations, minor procedures, and treatments Prepare, clean, and stock examination rooms Clean and sterilize medical instruments Apply dressings, braces, boots, and other medical equipment as directed Assist with X-rays and diagnostic testing, depending on training and certification Provide patients with instructions and educational materials Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment Work closely with providers and team members to keep the clinic running smoothly Follow all infection-control, safety, privacy, and practice policies Front Office Cross-Training This position will also be trained in front office responsibilities, including: Checking patients in and out Answering phones and assisting patients Scheduling appointments Registering patients and updating demographic information Collecting copays and patient balances Verifying insurance information Processing referrals, forms, and medical records Providing front office coverage as needed Qualifications Medical Assistant training or relevant clinical experience Previous medical office experience preferred Podiatry or specialty-clinic experience is helpful but not required Strong communication, organizational, and customer-service skills Ability to multitask and remain professional in a busy clinic Comfortable learning both clinical and front office responsibilities Dependable, punctual, flexible, and able to work as part of a team Basic computer skills and experience with electronic medical records preferred If you are compassionate, motivated, eager to learn, and interested in growing with a busy specialty practice, we would love to hear from you.
