Certified Medical Assistant Full Job Description Responsibilities:

Room patients and obtain complete and accurate vital signs. Gather and document all pertinent information in patient charts. Assist, and perform procedures ordered by the provider. Maintain timely patient flow and room availability. Maintain patient safety and confidentiality. Stock and maintain exam rooms, nursing stations, and individual workstations. Participate in assigned duties, such as cleaning and ordering supplies. Competence with all aspects of patient care provided in each department, thus float to other departments needing coverage. Universal precautions utilized in all patient care. Perform all regular duties of a Certified Medical Assistant. Assign Prescription refill requests to providers. Assist providers with documentation and finalization. Gather documentation for referrals and submit authorization when requested by providers. Keep an accurate log of requests. Communicate with patients, such as following up by phone on lab results and hospital discharges. Assist with gathering information to comply with quality assurance measures, MIPS, and all other guidelines.

Requirements:

High school graduate or equivalent. Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant Program. Ability to work in a multi-task, high-stress environment. Preferred 2+ years of experience.

Additional information:

Hourly rate is dependent on experience. Complementary staff and immediate family treatment available. Medical, dental, vision and 401k available.
