Job Description
Experienced Medical Assistant Mountain View Comprehensive Medicine - Laramie, WY Join a growing clinic where your experience truly matters. Mountain View Comprehensive Medicine is seeking an experienced, motivated Medical Assistant who wants to be an integral part of a fast-paced, patient-centered primary care practice. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who can think independently, anticipate needs, and help keep the clinic running efficiently. As a small, growing practice, every team member plays a critical role. The ideal candidate is dependable, takes initiative, enjoys learning, and thrives in an environment where no two days are the same. Responsibilities Room patients and obtain vital signs Document patient histories and assist with charting in the electronic medical record Prepare exam rooms and assist with in-office procedures Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection Process prescription refill requests Complete insurance prior authorizations Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Assist with referrals and coordination of care Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist with front desk operations as needed Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Stock exam rooms and maintain clinic cleanliness and organization Work collaboratively to improve clinic workflow and patient experience Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned Qualifications Required Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a primary care or specialty clinic Experience with phlebotomy Strong understanding of insurance processes and prior authorizations Excellent computer and EMR skills Exceptional organizational and time management abilities Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Professional communication and customer service skills Preferred Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) Experience in primary care Experience with insurance verification and referrals Why Join Mountain View Comprehensive Medicine?
