Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Medical Coder specializing in outpatient services to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately translating medical documentation into standardized codes used for billing, reimbursement, and statistical purposes. Your expertise will ensure compliance with coding guidelines and contribute to the smooth operation of our healthcare partners' revenue cycle. Duties Review outpatient medical records, including clinical notes, diagnostic reports, and treatment documentation to assign appropriate

ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT

(Current Procedural Terminology), and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) codes. Experience with Pro-Fees billing Ensure all coding aligns with current medical coding standards, regulations, and payer requirements. Collaborate with medical billing teams to facilitate accurate claim submissions and resolve coding discrepancies. Maintain thorough documentation of coding decisions and updates within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Conduct audits on coded records to verify accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Stay updated on changes in medical terminology, coding guidelines, and healthcare regulations affecting outpatient coding practices. Support the organization's efforts in medical record management and ensure confidentiality of sensitive patient information. Skills Strong knowledge of

ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT

coding, and DRG classifications. Proficiency in medical billing, medical collection processes, and medical office workflows. Experience working with EMR and EHR systems for documentation review and coding entry. Excellent understanding of medical terminology and anatomy relevant to outpatient care. Ability to interpret detailed medical records accurately and assign precise codes. Familiarity with medical records management and compliance standards related to healthcare data security.
