HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT
Your Role:
Responsible for ensuring insurance information and authorizations areaccurate for appropriate billing. Works in partnership with the RN/NurseManager and referring providers to ensure accuracy of scheduling,laboratory order entries, and activations. Works in partnership with PatientFinancial Services (department 8221) in reviewing denials and preparingappeals for correct reimbursement. Works in partnership with Finance(department 8211) and Charge Capture (department 8243) to ensure thecharge master is accurate and up to date. Analyzes and audits daily reportsto ensure optimum workflow; communicates with end users to identifyissues and recommend workflow changes.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO APPLY
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., certificate of high schoolequivalency).
Preferred Education:
Associate degree in a finance- or health-related field.
Required Experience:
Two (2) years of healthcare finance, authorization, reimbursement and/or billing experience
Preferred Experience:
Two (2) or more years of clinical experience. Experience with Microsoft (MS) Office (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word, andAccess). Strong knowledge of coding, billing, and reimbursementprocesses. Strong workflow knowledge. Excellent written
Required Certification/License/Registry:

Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practicalnurse (LPN) in accordance with Florida Statutes (F.S.), Title XXXII(Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nursing),Part I (Nurse Practice Act) [includes multistate compact licensure].

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and SurgicalAssisting (NBSTSA), Tech in Surgery -Certified (TS-C) credential fromthe National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), Nationally CertifiedOperating Room and Surgical Technician (NCORST) credential from theNational Healthcare Workers Association (NHCWA), or the NationallyCertified Surgical Technologist (NCST) credential from American AlliedHealth (AAH).
