  • Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is looking for a customer-focused
  • Certified Coding Specialist
  • to join our team. In this role, you will facilitate proper medical coding for general and specialty surgery procedures, add-on codes and other services. Is considered a subject matter expert in the codes and terminologies used in multiple specialties.
  • What You'll Do:
  • + Reviews providers' surgical operative notes and assigns CPT and diagnosis codes.
+ Maintains complete knowledge and complies with all relevant insurance, CPT coding and diagnosis guidelines + Informs provider of coding and documentation updates as necessary. + Maintains 90% accuracy of surgical coding. + Enters surgical charges into electronic medical system. + Maintains query communication with providers to ensure timely notification of identified documentation issues that may impact revenue or compliance.

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or
GED. + CREDENTIALS/LICENSURE
One of the following certifications is required: AAPC (CPC), PMIC (CMC), AHIMA (CCS-P).
Also required:
Advanced certification through AAPC in the specialty. + MINIMUM
EXPERIENCE
2 years of professional coding experience required.
