Our company is built with self-motivated, driven, accountable staff who desire to want to grow in their professional careers. We are stationed in Springfield, MO, but work with very diverse populations in ambulatory surgery centers and medical practices all over the United States. We are seeking to hire a full-time Medical Coder in our Revenue Cycle Management Division. This position has the potential to be cross trained in other areas of revenue cycle. Residing within driving distance of Medical Consulting Group is a requirement for this position . Position Responsibilities (dependent on our clients needs) : Read & analyze patient records Assign proper codes for patient records Verify correct E&M level of service Prepare claims for submission to insurance provider including NCCI edits MIPS Quality Reporting assistance Maintain patient /client confidentiality and information security Interaction with physicians or clinical staff to ensure accuracy
Skills & Requirements:
CPC Certification or equivalent (AAPC, AHIMA) Experience with billing/coding in ambulatory surgery centers or a medical practice Professional attitude and high attention to detail Strong computer skills Distinguished communication skills
