Ensure compliance with regulations established by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and other relevant authorities. Abstract information from electronic health records (EHR) systems and electronic health records management for billing and coding purposes. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and ensure accurate coding for inpatient and outpatient services. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical billing practices to enhance coding accuracy. Utilize medical coding software to streamline coding processes while ensuring adherence to industry standards. Support revenue cycle management by accurately coding procedures and diagnoses to facilitate proper reimbursement. Conduct audits of medical records to verify coding accuracy and identify areas for process improvement. Skills Proficiency in
