Job Description

Volt is immediately hiring Remote Critical Access/ Rural Health Medical Coders. As a Critical Access/ Rural Health Medical Coder you will:
  • Assign appropriate codes to diagnoses, procedures, and treatments using ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and other classification systems.
  • Review patient charts and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure codes are sequenced correctly according to government and insurance regulations.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to clarify ambiguous documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of patient records.
  • Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement.
  • Analyze medical records to identify documentation deficiencies.
  • Stay updated on coding guidelines, payer policies, and healthcare regulations.
This is a full-time opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven work experience as a Medical Coder or similar role Three years of experience working directly for a Critical Access Facility or Rural Health Clinic. Three years of CAH/RHC Medical Coding experience. Previous hands-on technical support experience preferred Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records Proven experience troubleshooting Meditech and other billing software Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively Excellent written and verbal communication skills Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities 3+ years' experience
Pay Rate:
$28.00- $38.00 per hour
  • Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
