Job description: Medical Director - State Veterans Home (Part-Time) ADVN Health is seeking a California-licensed physician to provide interim/relief Medical Director services as an independent contractor at the Veterans Home of California—Redding. This position provides clinical leadership and physician services in a geriatric and long-term-care setting serving California veterans.

Position Overview Onsite contract rate:

$175-$185 per hour Onsite schedule: Facility will allow 1 week off per month for non-local candidates. Schedule as needed on weekdays between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Estimated monthly hours:

120 hours based on current facility needs Estimated onsite hours: 80 hours per month Estimated offsite hours: 40 hours per month Assignment period: 24 months

Location:

Veterans Home of California Redding Responsibilities Provide physician services with an emphasis on geriatric and long-term care. Assess residents, develop treatment plans, and monitor clinical outcomes. Provide clinical oversight to physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. Support admissions, physical examinations, referrals, and continuity of care. Review clinical policies, care plans, treatment protocols, and pharmacy reports. Participate in quality-improvement activities, peer review, facility committees, and regulatory surveys. Ensure medical records are accurate, timely, complete, and confidential. Promote resident-directed care, advance-care planning, and informed medical decision-making. Perform other Medical Director responsibilities required by applicable state and federal regulations. Required Qualifications Active, unrestricted California M.D. or D.O. license. Board certification or board eligibility in Geriatric Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine. Current Certified Medical Director (CMD) credential from the American Board of Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine (ABPLM), or an accepted equivalent. Active, unrestricted DEA registration. Current CPR and BLS certifications. At least 12 continuous months of comparable medical-director or long-term-care experience completed within the past three years. Ability to satisfy all CalVet credentialing, health-screening, Live Scan, and background requirements.

Pay:

$175.00 - $185.00 per hour
