Job Description

We are seeking a Locum Emergency Medicine physician to provide ongoing coverage in Stuart, Florida. This role offers the chance to work in a well-supported hospital emergency department with a low admission rate, manageable patient volume, and flexible day and night 12-hour shifts. Assignment details
Duration:
Ongoing through June 30, 2027 Shift length: 12 hours

Day and night (AM/PM) availability required

Volume:
~0.5-2 patients per hour
Population:
Adults and pediatrics
Acuity:
Mostly ESI Levels 3-4, occasional Level 2 Admission rate: ~2-3% Key responsibilities Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries Provide emergency stabilization and treatment for pediatric and adult patients Perform emergency procedures consistent with Emergency Medicine practice Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostic tests Collaborate with nursing, radiology, consultants, and ancillary services to ensure efficient, high-quality care Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) Active Florida medical license or eligibility to obtain one Current DEA registration or ability to obtain registration
