Physician / Cardiologist About the Practice Palm Beach Medical Center is a well-established cardiology, internal medicine, and geriatric medical practice serving the Palm Beach community for more than 40 years. The practice has an established patient base, relationships with major insurance providers, and an on-site cardiovascular diagnostic infrastructure. We are seeking a business-minded Cardiologist who can provide excellent patient care, support the growth of our cardiovascular services, and help lead the practice through its next phase of development. The position may begin on a part-time basis and has the potential to develop into a full-time Medical Director or Chief Medical Officer role. Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions Provide cardiology consultations, follow-up care, and preventative cardiovascular care Order, interpret, and oversee appropriate cardiovascular diagnostic testing Develop treatment plans in coordination with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, and other clinical staff Train, coach, and provide clinical oversight to mid-level providers Support the development of efficient clinical protocols and evidence-based care pathways Assist with expanding cardiovascular and wellness-related services Participate in practice growth, quality improvement, and strategic planning initiatives Build and maintain relationships with local hospitals, physicians, nursing homes, assisted living communities, and other referral partners Help ensure compliance with applicable clinical, documentation, and regulatory requirements Cardiovascular Services and Diagnostics The ideal candidate should be comfortable ordering, interpreting, supervising, or coordinating services such as: Electrocardiograms (EKG/ECG) Holter and extended Holter monitoring Mobile cardiac telemetry Echocardiography and vascular ultrasound Exercise and nuclear stress testing PET/CT and other advanced cardiac imaging Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring Cardiovascular risk assessments Varicose vein and vascular evaluations The practice currently has cardiovascular diagnostic equipment that includes nuclear stress-testing equipment, treadmill stress-testing equipment, EKG equipment, and stationary and portable echocardiography systems. Additional Services Candidates should understand the needs of today's patient population and be open to participating in or providing clinical oversight for complementary wellness and medical services, including: GLP-1 and medically supervised weight-management consultations IV hydration and infusion services Preventative health and wellness programs Botox and aesthetic medical services Varicose vein evaluation and treatment Chronic disease management Geriatric and senior-focused care Additional diagnostic and ancillary medical services Required Qualifications Medical degree from an accredited medical school Completion of an accredited cardiology fellowship Board certification or board eligibility in Cardiology Active and unrestricted Florida medical license, or eligibility to obtain one Current DEA registration, or eligibility to obtain one Strong knowledge of cardiovascular diagnostic tests and treatment protocols Ability to communicate fluently in English, including speaking, reading, and comprehension Ability to effectively supervise, train, and coach nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, and other clinical team members Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and interpersonal skills Interest in practice development and the business operations of a growing medical organization Highly Desired Qualifications Current or previous privileges at hospitals in West Palm Beach or the surrounding Palm Beach County area An established local patient following, referral network, or professional relationships Experience developing or expanding cardiovascular diagnostic and ancillary service lines Experience serving as a Medical Director, Chief Medical Officer, department leader, or supervising physician Familiarity with value-based care, Medicare patients, geriatric care, and contemporary wellness services Entrepreneurial or business-minded approach to medical practice growth Preferred Qualifications Privileges or professional relationships with local nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, or assisted living communities Fluency and comprehension in Hebrew Leadership Opportunity This role is ideal for a Cardiologist interested in more than a traditional employed physician position. The selected candidate may have the opportunity to help shape the practice's clinical strategy, oversee mid-level providers, expand diagnostic and wellness services, and transition into a Medical Director or Chief Medical Officer position as the organization grows. Compensation Competitive compensation will be based on experience, schedule, patient volume, leadership responsibilities, and the structure of the engagement. Potential arrangements may include part-time employment, independent contractor work, productivity-based compensation, or a longer-term leadership agreement. $250,000.00 - $550,000.00 per year
