An Emergency Medical Director within emergency medical services is a physician who provides guidance, leadership, oversight and continuous quality improvement (CQI) for the practice of local EMTs and paramedics within a predefined area. Typically board-certified in emergency medicine or pediatric emergency medicine. Generally responsible for either the creation of protocols for treatment by prehospital providers or providing leadership to the group of physicians who assist with the provision of medical oversight depending on which model of service delivery and which model of medical control are operating.

Why Choose Urgent Care at The Iowa Clinic? The Iowa Clinic is a physician-owned and governed multi-specialty clinic with over 270 providers. We are currently looking to add a full-time, experienced, Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, to our growing Urgent Care team. This is a full-time position , committing to 1:4 weekends in addition to 2-3 days per week, as well as 2 holidays per year. On each shift, you will be teamed with another provider, as well as 2-3 nurses. You will need:
Education:
Master's degree required
Licenses/Certifications:
ARNP or PA-C, BCLS, and ACLS certifications required
Experience:
