Opportunity Description SimiTree Talent Solutions is a leading search firm for the Behavioral / Mental Health industry. Our client is a well-established and growing mental health organization looking for a Psychiatrist/Medical Director for a for a small inpatient behavioral health hospital with a focus on addiction medicine in the Albion, IN area. Preferred Qualifications Experience with substance abuse disorders and detox protocols. Working knowledge of ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) criteria for patient placement, level of care, and continued stay/transfer determinations. Expertise in protocols for safely detoxifying patients from alcohol, opioids, and sedatives. Requirements Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited medical school. Successful completion of an accredited psychiatry residency. Board-certification from American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Unrestricted license and DEA to practice medicine in Indiana. Responsibilities The Medical Director is responsible for the direction, coordination, quality, safety, and regulatory compliance of psychiatric and medical services within the adult detox hospital. Provide supervision for two psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners. Ability to provide active onsite and on-call leadership, respond to urgent clinical issues, and maintain reliable coverage during absences. Complete rounds on-site (8 hours) and the ability to take calls from the PMHNP's. The remaining hours can be completed remotely. The compensation scale listed is a general salary range and is not intended to represent the actual annual or hourly compensation rate for this role. An offer will be made to the selected candidate at the conclusion of the interview process based on their relevant experience and the responsibilities of the position.
