We're looking for an experienced Emergency Medicine physician to provide locum coverage at a busy Level III Trauma Center in North Adams, Massachusetts. This is a great opportunity if you enjoy a fast-paced ED with strong team support and a varied case mix.

Compensation:

Meditech APP support on shift About 30% admission rate; hospitalists manage admissions Physicians are not responsible for codes; deliveries go directly to Labor & Delivery ED physicians provide radio medical direction for paramedics and ambulance crews Typical Shifts & Scheduling Shift lengths available: 12-, 11-, and 8-hour options Primary night shift: 7:00 PM-7:00 AM Additional shift times may include 1:00 PM-9:00 PM and 3:00 PM-11:00 PM Weekend coverage is required No on-call responsibilities Core Responsibilities Evaluate and manage patients presenting to the ED across a broad range of acute and emergent conditions Perform appropriate emergency procedures and stabilize patients Coordinate patient care with hospitalists, consultants, and clinical staff, and arrange transfers when needed Provide radio medical direction to paramedics and ambulance personnel Complete timely, accurate medical documentation Qualifications Active Massachusetts medical license required (MA-licensed providers given priority) ABEM board certified or board eligible within 5 years of residency Current BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications If you want to work in a collaborative emergency department with solid support and meaningful prehospital interaction, this could be a great fit.
