Job Description
Veterinary Medical Director - Wells, ME A veterinary practice is seeking an experienced Veterinary Medical Director to lead its clinical team while continuing to provide high-quality patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who is passionate about leadership, mentorship, and shaping the future of a growing practic Responsibilities Provide medical, surgical, and preventive care to companion animals Lead and mentor the veterinary team, promoting a collaborative and positive culture Establish and uphold medical standards and best practices Partner with hospital leadership on operational and strategic initiatives Support team development through coaching, training, and performance feedback Ensure high-quality patient care and client satisfaction Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited institution Active or eligible veterinary license Previous leadership experience OR strong interest in a leadership role Strong clinical skills in general practice (wellness, surgery, dentistry) Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Passion for mentorship, team development, and high-quality medicine
