Department Description:

The Emergency Department is a busy, high-acuity service within an academic medical center and Level I Trauma Center. The department provides comprehensive emergency care to a diverse adult patient population through a collaborative, team-based model involving emergency physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing, and ancillary services. APPs play an essential role in maintaining patient flow, reducing wait times, and delivering high-quality, evidence-based emergency care. APPs care for patients in the up-front triage/MSE space and our moderate-acuity space (including ESI Level 3). Annual patient visits 50,000.
