Job Description

Associate Medical Director (Addiction Medicine) - Full-Time Western North Carolina | Blue Ridge Mountains Region Join a mission-driven organization dedicated to excellence in addiction medicine and recovery-focused care. We are seeking a Board-Certified Associate Medical Director to help lead our multidisciplinary team and deliver high-quality, ethical, patient-centered care. Position Overview The Associate Medical Director partners closely with the Medical Director to provide clinical leadership while maintaining a balance of administrative responsibilities and direct patient care. Key Responsibilities Support clinical leadership and team oversight alongside the Medical Director Provide outpatient medical services to select patients Oversee medical care, including histories, physicals, and detoxification services Collaborate with nursing, medical, and clinical teams Participate in on-call rotation (every other week) Engage in case reviews and clinical team meetings Deliver educational presentations to patients, families, and community partners Ensure compliance with CARF standards and regulatory requirements Qualifications MD or DO licensed in North Carolina and South Carolina ASAM certification or Board Certification in Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry Significant experience in substance use disorder treatment Experience with detox, co-occurring disorders, and recovery-based models Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care Full-Time Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Company-paid $50,000 life insurance, long-term disability, and AD&D Short-term disability and voluntary life insurance options 9 paid holidays Unlimited PTO 401(k) with 4% employer match Please submit your CV to Cheryl@psychpros.com IND123 addiction, detox
