Job Description

Medical Director / Physician - Correctional Facility - Primary Care and Urgent Care Are you interested in joining an integrated, multi-state Healthcare organization that is known for their patient centered approach? Are you an experienced Physician / Medical Director that has helped treat a variety of complex chronic, co-occurring and urgent care conditions? Do you have an interest in working within corrections? Our partner, a Correctional Facility located near Schenectady, NY, is seeking a Medical Director / Physician to join their growing team. This is a safe environment where inmates are shackled. The role will be responsible for overseeing a team of Advanced Practice Providers (~60% clinical and ~40% administrative/nonclinical). Please consider applying today!
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, flexible start/end time
Compensation:

Physician Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive medical examinations of new inmates Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team consisting of advanced practice providers, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, RN case managers, medical assistants, administrative staff, etc. Supervise and coach a team of advanced practice providers as they provide primary care and urgent care services Monitors all referrals to external health care facilities Oversee clinical staff development and performance
Qualifications:
MD or DO Current, unrestricted license in the state of New York 2+ years of experience as a Physician, preferably within Corrections, Primary Care, Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine Medical Director / Physician - Correctional Facility - Primary Care and Urgent Care #ghrsearch25
