Medical Affairs Director - Veterinary Medicine - # 9457 The VET Recruiter is conducting a search for a Medical Affairs Director for an established animal health organization. We are seeking a board-certified veterinary specialist with prior animal health industry experience . This highly visible role combines clinical expertise, medical affairs, veterinary education, and collaboration with commercial and R D teams. The Opportunity The Medical Affairs Director will serve as a trusted clinical advisor and veterinary subject matter expert.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing evidence-based clinical and product information Educating veterinarians on disease awareness, diagnosis, treatment, and patient care Building relationships with veterinary professionals, specialists, key opinion leaders, and academic institutions Representing the organization at veterinary conferences, meetings, and educational programs Partnering with commercial teams on clinical and business initiatives Collaborating with R D on studies, clinical assessments, and emerging veterinary trends Serving as the voice of the veterinarian within the organization Qualifications DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree Diplomate status with ACVIM, ACVS, ACVSMR, or ACVECC Approximately 8+ years of relevant professional experience Animal health industry experience required , ideally in medical affairs, professional services, technical services, or a related industry role Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills Ability to work effectively with veterinary and commercial teams Ability to travel up to 75% Location The position may be based in the Kansas City metropolitan area with remote consideration depending on the candidate. Relocation assistance is available.
