In this pivotal role, you will oversee clinical operations, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and champion quality patient care. Your leadership will drive the development of innovative clinical strategies, foster a collaborative team environment, and uphold the highest standards of medical excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape compassionate end-of-life care while maintaining operational efficiency and regulatory adherence. Duties Provide clinical leadership and oversight for all hospice services, ensuring adherence to NCQA standards, HIPAA regulations, and FDA guidelines. Develop, implement, and monitor clinical protocols aligned with best practices in palliative and end-of-life care. Supervise medical staff including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals; facilitate ongoing training and professional development. Oversee utilization management processes to optimize patient outcomes and resource utilization within managed care frameworks. Ensure accurate documentation of medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) management tools; maintain compliance with healthcare regulations. Lead quality improvement initiatives by analyzing clinical data, conducting research, and implementing evidence-based practices. Collaborate with administrative teams on practice management, budgeting, and strategic planning to enhance service delivery. Maintain current knowledge of hospital experience standards, medical research developments, and relevant drug enforcement regulations (DEA). Participate in clinical development projects; contribute to academic leadership through teaching or mentoring healthcare professionals. Requirements Medical degree (MD or DO) with active medical licensure in relevant jurisdiction; board certification in hospice or palliative medicine preferred. Post-residency experience with demonstrated leadership in hospice or hospital settings; supervisory experience required. Extensive knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and healthcare compliance standards including HIPAA and NCQA standards. Proven expertise in EMR/EHR systems, medical records management, and electronic health records management tools. Familiarity with FDA regulations, drug enforcement policies (DEA), utilization management, and managed care principles. Strong project management skills with the ability to lead clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects effectively. Excellent communication skills for treating patients as a physician while providing clear guidance to multidisciplinary teams. Experience in teaching or academic leadership within healthcare environments is highly desirable.
