Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated On Site Certified Medical Dosimetrist to join our dynamic radiation oncology team. This vital role involves collaborating closely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and radiation therapists to develop precise and effective radiation treatment plans for patients. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in radiation physics, medical imaging, and treatment planning, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive radiation treatment plans utilizing advanced medical software and imaging modalities such as CT simulation and image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT). Collaborate with the radiation oncology team to interpret patient anatomy, physiology, and medical history for accurate dose calculations. Operate and maintain sophisticated medical equipment including linear accelerators, CT scanners, and other radiotherapy devices. Implement and adhere to strict radiation safety procedures to protect patients, staff, and the environment during all phases of treatment. Prepare detailed dose distributions and treatment parameters for external beam radiation therapy, including intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT). Manage electronic health records (EHR) to document treatment plans, patient progress, and compliance with regulatory standards. Stay current with advancements in medical imaging, radiation physics, and oncology protocols to continuously improve treatment quality. Requirements Certification as a Medical Dosimetrist from an accredited organization is essential. Proven experience working on CT simulation, external beam radiation therapy, and IMRT planning within a clinical setting. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to radiation oncology. Familiarity with medical software systems used for treatment planning and EHR management. Hands-on experience operating medical imaging equipment such as CT scanners and linear accelerators. Understanding of radiation safety procedures, including implementing protocols for critical care environments where applicable. Prior experience in mammography or other specialized imaging modalities is a plus. Critical care or acute care experience enhances your ability to manage complex cases effectively.
