Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Dental/ Medical Admin to join our healthcare team. This vital role involves managing administrative functions within a dental or Medical clinic setting, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional patient service. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive experience in medical billing, coding, and electronic health record (EHR) management, with a strong understanding of healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to efficient clinic workflows while supporting patient care through accurate documentation and effective communication. This person will be expected to work front office and back office. They are small clinics and scheduling will also be in the duties. Duties Manage patient scheduling and appointment coordination utilizing EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks and Dentrix. Process medical and dental billing, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance claims, ensuring accurate CPT and ICD coding. Review and verify medical records and documentation for completeness and compliance with clinical confidentiality policies. Handle insurance verifications, claims submissions, follow-up on unpaid claims, and collections using platforms like Athenahealth or other EHR systems. Maintain accurate patient records within electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. Provide front desk support including patient check-in/out, phone communication with professionalism and courtesy. Assist with clinical documentation review, care plan updates, and administrative support for healthcare providers. Utilize Microsoft Office tools for report generation, data entry, and correspondence. Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations and health information management standards during all administrative processes. Support clinic operations by managing filing systems, medical records requests, and office supplies. Qualifications Proven experience in medical administration within a dental or healthcare setting. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks or Dentrix Strong knowledge of medical coding including
CPT, ICD-9/10
codes, and familiarity with Medicare billing procedures. Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn new software quickly. Knowledge of health insurance processes including verification, claims processing, and collections. Prior clinic experience is highly desirable. Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and record keeping. Strong interpersonal skills to provide outstanding patient service and communicate effectively with team members. Understanding of clinical confidentiality policies and medical terminology relevant to dental or Health care. This role is essential in supporting the operational efficiency of our dental clinic while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Pay:
$21.00 - $28.00 per hour
